Jammu, Apr 28: Carmel Convent Hr. Sec School, Kunjwani organised an educational trip to Manda zoo for the Girl guides of 6th standard. The students were accompanied by their captain Jyoti Wali and Sports Teacher Ashima Pathania. The theme of the trip was "Love for Animals".
The students were thrilled to see different types of birds and animals like wild bear, peacock, leopard, deer, crocodile etc.
They closely witnessed various wild animals in their enclosures and learnt about their behaviour, status and maintenance of their conservation. The staff of the zoo interacted with the students and briefed about the importance of flaura and fauna and enlightened the students about Wildlife Conservation.
The aim of the trip was to generate the love for animals; to inculcate the values of saving the environment and empower them to take steps to save the wildlife. |
