Kathua, Apr 28: As part of the 29th Road Safety Week, a special awareness programme was organized by Tiny Scholars School, kathua in collaboration with Motor Vehicle Department, Kathua at Shahedi Chowk Kathua with Regional Transport officer Pardeep Manhas as Chief Guest. While DTI Rakesh Mani, SHO Kathua Anil Sharma, President Mahila Morcha Indu Rekha Partap, Vice President Press Club Kathua Manuj Kesar, Dr. Vishal Malagar were also present as special guests during the occasion. Principal Manisha Gupta emphasized over the importance of road safety. Nukkad Natak and role play was organised by students of Tiny Scholars which marked the participation of a huge gathering of locals passing through Shahedi Chowk. Students placed a Nakka with the help of traffic cops at Shahedi Chowk and checked the vehicles. Students presented sweet candies and pens as gift to those who were wearing helmets and educated others who were not wearing helmets. RTO Kathua emphasized upon the need for adopting necessary road safety measures for averting avoidable road accidents and loss of precious human life. Introducing the theme of the week "Sadak Suraksha - Jeevan Suraksha", Programme concluded with the road safety pledge by students for obeying traffic rules. At the end Administrator of the school Harjinder Singh presented vote of thanks. Mrs Jyoti Sharma, Mrs. Monika Sharma, Pratibha Sharma, Neha Sharma and other staff members were also present on the occasion. |
