Udhampur, May 10: The authorities of Rural Development Department of Majalta block are being accused of misappopriating funds.
Liyad villagera in Panchayat Dhamma went to the office of Block Development Officer (BDO) Mansar Pritam Sharma for getting information of repair work of the walkway in their village as the work was only done for name sake.
They informed that the BDO misbehaved with them using abusive language and also did not give the sought information.
Sources informed that the BDO has prepared fictitious papers claiming huge expenditure while on ground nothing has been spent.
They said that higher ups in the concerned department should immediately intervene to stop this bungling well in time.
People also demanded that the BDO needs to be told to behave properly.
"He is a public servant and he should politely respond to the queries raised by the people about the functioning of his department," a local, Balbir Kumar said.
The BDOsaid funds are released after inspection by gramsevaks. |
