Jammu, May 10: Parents of Private School Association led by Geeta Thakur staged a protest demonstration at Press Club Jammu against unnecessary and illegal charging of admissions and other charges from the innocent parents of the students, by various Private Schools in Jammu Region. Geeta Thakur alongwith a large number of gener}il public and her supporters, raised slogans against these Private School Owners, who are considering these parents as source for minting money by every possible ways. In the protest demonstration, the protestors stated that t he private school authorities are charging huge amounts on account high admission fees, Uniform Charges, Development charges and books , stationary charges, thereby causing huge burden upon the parents and the parents are forced to pay these huge amounts for the reason to provide education to their wards. it was also stated in the protest that if the parents deny these charges, they at e not allowed to continue studies of their children in these schools. These private school authorities are impressing hard upon the parents and students to purchase 2-3 sets of different Uniforms, additional books and other materials on higher / fixed rates, thus causing huge financial hardships to poor parents, who are unable to afford same. |
