Jammu, May 11: Model Academy, the prestigious school of MIER celebrated Mother's Day at both its branches and Humming Buds - the Preschool, to honor and express gratitude towards all Mothers.
Dr. Renu Gupta, Vice chairperson MIER was the chief guest while Dr. Adit Gupta director MIER was the guest of Honor. They were joined by Rupa Gupta, Joint Director, MIER, Parmod Srivastava Principal, JK Dhiman, Vice Principal and HOD's of various Departments.
The day started with a special Assembly by the students of Edison wherein they recited poems, sang songs and paid rich tributes to their mothers. A colorful cultural bonanza was presented by the students of class 1st and 2nd which was symbolic of the various hues of life and joy.
The students put up a great show expressing their love and affection through musical presentations, dances and speeches. The highlight of the event was Sher-o-Shayari titled "Maa Tujhe Salaam". The students read couplets in urdu which struck an emotional chord with the mothers. The students of Residency Road branch made the event more special when their mothers show cased their talents.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Renu Gupta applauded the students for their colorful presentation. In her address she said, mothers play the most vital role in a child's life. She is the one who gives life, who nurtures and loves unconditionally.
