JAMMU, May 11: The recent reshuffle of portfolios in the state government has depressed the ministers, who lost the posts but several of the officers, especially the Officers on Special duty and other staff in the personal section of the ministers, who were enjoying the privileges and power are also said.
These officials or other personal staff of Ministers were either their relatives or some blue-eyed who had helped the ministers in one form or the other.
The loss of ministry has not gone well with one such OSD, whose all future plans were dashed to the ground with one stroke of reshuffle and the OSD had to sacrifice his post.
Since the change of portfolios, this official had been leaving no stone unturned to mount pressure on the new Minister, to get him retain the seat.
"The OSD to BJP's ousted Minister too suffers set back, as despite burning mid night oil he could not get opportunity to work with his master's successor", sources familiar with the development said and added that even the OSD used his right-wing connection.
"To retain his post, he knocked door of RSS leaders, even BJP leaders in New Delhi but his planning could not be materialised. Even, the officer went to successor of his master and pretended to be his OSD, but he didn't entertain his 'loyalty' and finally picked a man of his choice", they added. |
