Early Times Report JAMMU, May 11: A meeting of General Category Peoples' Forum Jammu (GCPFJ) was held under the chairmanship of Raj Kumar Banathia, Chairman of the Forum and discussed in detail the issues of discrimination with general category people on the basis of caste, religion & region, reservation, illegal settlement of Rohingyas in Jammu and Rasana, Hiranagar alleged murder and rape caste. Banathia castigated political class for promoting casteism and communalism through caste-based reservation, special privileges and concession and dividing people in name of caste, religion & region. While addressing the meeting, Yash Paul Sharma, President of the Forum condemned Modi Government for opposing the concept of creamy layer in reservation and termed it a step against educationally & economically weaker SCs/ST families. Sharma said that Modi Government is anti-Swarn castes and has being promoting casteism & communalism for political gains. Sharma demanding, no interference in the implementation of 'No reservation promotion'. The supremacy of Judiciary be established by implementing its verdicts given on reservation. Sharma also demanded legal & constitutional steps for ending a/I types of reservations, quotas, privileges and concessions for the establishment of discrimination free India by providing 'Equal rights and equal laws to all'.
