Growing unrest and trust deficit among youth is core issue: Jehangir Mir | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 13: Redressal of fast growing unrest and trust deficit among youth of J&K is a core issue of Jammu & Kashmir and need its redressal on first priority said Former Dy. Chairman J&K Legislative Council and Convenor, Foundation for Peace and Social Justice, Jehangir Hussain Mir. Mir identified mis-governance and unaddressed unemployment while explaining various causes of such alarming situation which may reach to a point of no return if a concrete Youth Policy for J&K is not formulated and acted upon immediately. Ashok Sharma, Advocate and State Convenor, Indian Council for Enviro-Legal Action urged upon the misguided youth of the state to join national mainstream and work for the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the country. The Former Legislator, Sharma demanded restoration and extension of Prime Minister Students Scholarship Scheme for J&K providing the opportunity to 10 thousand youth for coming five years to ensure such 50 thousand brilliant youth across the state to mix up and develop socio-economic and political understanding among the youth of the country. He also stressed upon to inculcate moral values, brotherhood and religious harmony in the academics curriculum besides restoration of Centuries old Gurukul concepts to achieve Vasu Dev Kutumb kam (Global Village) in his concept papers. |
