Angry students hold protest against shortage of staff, block MLA Inderwal's cavalcade | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, May 13: Angry students of Government Higher Secondary School Binoon in the remote Bunjwah area of Kishtwar District on Saturday boycotted their classes and held a strong protest by blocking Thathri-Bunjwah road at Binoon. The development took place ahead of MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori visit to Bunjwah. The angry students were demanding posting of lecturers for Physics, Chemistry and Biology and full strength of teaching staff for all classes in the school as nearly 400 students including girls are studying in the school. The students were having placards in their hands and demanded completion of work on playground and boundary wall. Saroori today assured that he will take this matter with higher authorities and appointment of lecturers will be done in next few days. He said that 50 lakhs has already been sanctioned for the completion of work on playground and directed concerned authorities of Block Bunjwah for construction of boundary wall under convergence. The MLA Inderwal said that demands of students are genuine adding that he took up the matter with Director School Education who had assured him that the staff will be provided to the school. He said that after taking up the matter with Director School Education, CEO Kishtwar issued appointment of Botany and Chemistry lecturers today itself. |
