Early Times Report
Rajouri, May 13: Rajouri police have started investigation after an alleged incident of injuries received by a five years old girl after she was pushed out of school bus by the conductor in village Danidhar in the vicinity of Rajouri town.
The incident took place on Friday when the mother of the girl was waiting at an identified school bus stop and despite intimation by the girl that mother is waiting on the road, the driver didn't stop the bus.
Later the girl was traced at about two kilometres away from where the mother was standing and with injury in the nose, swelling in the head, clothes, school bag and shoes filled with sludge. The incident shook the parents and they approached the police for action against school management and the driver and co-driver of the school bus belong to Panorama HSS.
"The police have taken cognizance of the incident and those involved in the incident will be punished under law" said SSP. Five years old Anisika D/o Bhola Ram and Antim Devi R/o Danidhar is a LKG student in Panorama HSS.
According to her the driver didn't stop the bus where her mother was standing (identified school bus stop) and later they dropped her about 2 kilometres away.
While she was getting down, as told by Anisika, the co-driver pushed her from behind and she fell in the drain and her clothes, shoes, school bags also filled with mud. Even she told that a stray dog attempted to harm her.
Anyhow, she managed to come out of the drain and sought help from a woman passing on the road pleading that she has forgotten the way to home. The woman took her to nearby house and when Anisika was asked about the identity of her parents, she revealed the names and was handed over to parents.
Later she was admitted in the hospital and according to doctors she had received injury in the nose (blood found dried up outside the nose), swelling on the head and her feet seems to be remain in the water for longer period.
After the incident parents have approached the police after hospital report and alleged that school management had not responded positively and instead they claimed that the girl was absent on that day. The class teachers and principal have checked the class/home work of the child on that day and have put their signatures.
The security/safety of the students is the responsibility of the school management during there to and from journey and during school hours and for which they are charging Rs1750 per month.
