JAMMU: At least five persons including an infant were killed while eight others injured after their car hit parapet on the Jammu-Pathankot national highway near Ghagwal in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. All are the residents of Gurdaspur in Punjab. Police sources said the accident took place at Tapyal when the car occupants were on their way from Jammu to Punjab. The impact resulted into the death of five persons while eight others received injuries. The deceased have been identified as car driver Labpreet Singh (30), Punnu (30), Veena, Geeta Devi (60), and a one-year-old child. The injured have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for treatment.
