Modi Government's Policy towards Pakistan & Kashmir, a big failure- Congress | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 28: JKPCC has said that the biggest failure of the BJP led Central government is its total mishandling of the Kashmir situation and dealing with Pakistan, which is evident for large number of causalities of jawans and civilians during the period and more evident from its u-turns now after four in office. JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma said that blow hot and blow cold policy of BJP towards Kashmir and Pakistan had been a total failure, leading to sacrifices of large number of jawans and civilians on borders and in Kashmir Valley during this period. More particularly its u-turns now on its approach towards Kashmir and Pakistan, declaring unilateral ceasefire and willingness for talks, when the situation was at its worst because of total failure of the government, vindicates the charge that BJP government was confused and lacked any consistent policy in this regard, he said. Narendra Modi used to hurl choicest invectives against Dr. Manmohan Singh government for its policy has himself proved to be utter failure to maintain calm on the borders and restore peace in the valley. It always maintained that there could be no talks amidst guns and terror but now after four years, Modi government has given up its stand and showed readiness for talks, with Pakistan as well as separatist, when on both fronts the situation has been at its worst, said Sharma. The Congress leader said that the borders are blood soaked and Pakistan has multiplied its open aid and support to terror activities. He questioned what changed on ground, for change of stand of the Modi government and it should explain to the nation its failures on this front and apologies to the nation for mere exploitation for domestic politics. |
