Miffed over insignificant postings, IGP opts for central deputation | | | Early Times Report Jammu, May 28: Miffed over his continuous neglect, an Inspector General of Police in state police has finally opted for a central deputation consequent upon which he has been posted as IG in a paramilitary force. With the IGP ranked officer moving out of the state on a central deputation, the strength of police officers in the department has fallen further. Sources told Early Times, the said IPS officer was annoyed with the department as he was denied a suitable posting which prompted him to opt for a central deputation. "The IGP was given insignificant postings for the past some time which made him infuriated with the higher ups in the department," sources added. Sources said that the officer expressed strong resentment against ignoring him repeatedly for a suitable posting. It is learnt that he raised his objections over assigning charge of key postings to his batch mates and even his juniors depriving him of single opportunity to serve on an important post," sources said. "The officer used his links in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to avail a central deputation. With the help of his contacts including one of his batch mates in the MHA, the officer has managed a key post in one of the paramilitary forces. The order regarding his deputation has directed the state government to immediately relieve him so that he could be posted at the new place of posting," said sources. |
