Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated Mother's Day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 28: Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated Mother's Day at Auditorium of Government College for women, Parade Ground to honour and express gratitude towards all mothers. Principal, GCW Parade, Hemla Aggarwal was the chief guest while as Madhu Sharma Chairman Nat Manch & Principal LMPS and Surinder Sharma Chairman LMPS were the guests of Honour. The day started with a special programme wherein they recited poems, sang songs and paid rich tributes to their mothers. A colourful cultural bonanza was presented by the students of class 1st and 2nd which was symbolic of the various hues of life and joy. The students put up a great show expressing their love and affection through musical presentations, dances and speeches. The highlight of the event was Sher-o-Shayari titled "Maa Tujhe Salaam". The students read couplets in urdu which struck an emotional chord with the mothers. The students of class 4th & 5th made the event more special when their mothers show cased their talents. Speaking on the occasion chief guest applauded the students for their colourful presentation. In her address she said, mothers play the most vital role in a child's life. She is the one who gives life, who nurtures and loves unconditionally and in her message said that Mothers are the pillars of a nation, she said. Madhu Sharma congratulated the students and teachers for presenting the programme. Surinder Sharma while addressing the students said Mother is a precious and important pivot of our life that needs to be honoured and respected. The programme was Choreographed by Shetal and compered by zenab, welcome addresses was presented by Anuradha and vote of thanks was proposed by Seema Anand. |
