Sasan lambasts government for inapt handling of border crisis | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 28: S Gurdeep Singh Sasan, Vice President National Conference Jammu Province conducted extensive tour of border belt of R S Pura. He met different victims of Pakistan firing and listened to their grievances. Sasan lambasted the BJP - PDP government for its total failure to come to the rescue of border dwellers by leaving them at the mercy of God. He said that government seems to be insensitive towards the sufferings of firing victims and have closed their eyes and ears towards them. He alleged that government has failed to provide their basic amenities due to that the helpless people are deprived of medical, electricity, ration, sanitary, drinking water and other day to day usable necessary consumables items. Sasan said that National Conference committed for providing them shelter during cross firing and urged coalition Govt. to provide 5 marlas of land to border inhabitants and appealed to the Governor to direct the government to provide alternative permanent shelters to the victims. Daljeet Sharma, District President women wing highlighted the problems of border belt and assured the women that NC Leadership is committed for empowerment of women and will launched different welfare schemes for girls. |
