Fulfill promises made with border residents: JKAAP | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 28: The J&K Aam Aadmi Party activists strongly urged the state and central governments for immediate fulfillment of promises made with the border people regarding allotment of five Marla plots, special recruitment drives besides reservations for them in government jobs on the analogy of ALC residents. The AAP activists said it is very painful to see every day loss of innocent human lives & animals; destruction of properties and large-scale migration in border areas. There was a surprising disclosure that during the 5 month's period of 2018 i.e. from Ist. January till date, dozens of civilian & security men have been killed & as many as hundredth of innocent civilian injured & huge loss to their property and cattle, they said. The AAP activists said the injured have got no compensation/ financial aid in the past from the government for their treatment. Those political leaders who go for inquiry have only photo-sessions & then forget everything easily. For the last 8/10 years, all successive governments have been announcing that 5 marla plots would be provided in the safer zone to all families residing near the border, but this was never put to practice. |
