| Kabir Chowk residents rue Power Deptt | | | | JAMMU, May 28: Despite a number of reminders ,Power Development Department has failed to install a 250 KVA transformer in Kabir Chowk locality near Durga Nagar Sector 1, for the last over two and a half years local residents rued here today. They said a place was identified for installation of transformer in the area after a proper survey was carried out by the department and recommended installation of 250KVA electric transformer for which two poles were also erected as the area was reeling under high fluctuation and low voltage problem but after lapse of over two and a half years time nobody from the department turned up to solve the grave problem of the area. Locals who were the worst sufferers in this scorching heat of summer have urged the concerned authorities to give a serious thought to their problem and install the electric transformer of required configuration at an earliest so that the fluctuation and low voltage of power could be controlled and give respite to them, they added. |
