| DB issues directives in PIL regarding security of Court Complex | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 28: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Sumit Nayyar seeking security of Court complex and cleaning and sanitation work for the entire High Court Complex as well as the District Court Complex, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and Justice Sanjay Kumar Gupta observed that counsel for the respondents submitted that he wishes to file a detailed affidavit with regard to the steps take in compliance to the direction issued by this Court vide dated May 17, 2018, upon this Division Bench directed that the needful be done by or before next date of hearing.
Counsel appearing for the state further submitted that the order passed by this Court with regard to installation of an inverter back-up for operating the lift has since been communicated to the Chief Engineer, Mechanical Division of the State and that necessary steps are being taken in that regard also.
Division Bench after hearing both the sides fixed June 5, 2018 for next date of hearing and ordered that meanwhile Chief Engineer, Mechanical Division shall ensure of a power back-up, so that the lift can be operated without any difficulty during the powers cuts. |
