| Cement Dealers meet SSP kathua | | |

KATHUA, May 28: A deputation of registered cement cealers today called on SSP Kathua Shridhar Patil and sought immediate control on illicit smuggling of cements from Punjab through different routes joining Jammu & Kashmir with Punjab.
The deputation led by Ajay Sharma, President of the Association apprised the SSP that illicit smuggling is going through Kot Punnu, Jarai, Nagri and Haria Chak except Lakhanpur. He said crores are getting squandered everyday as dozens of illegal vehicles loaded with cement enter the state and move towards different districts. He said illicit cement is sold at low rate as sellers do not pay genuine tax.
The SSP passed instructions to DySP and Chowki Officers of different routes for vigil checking and asked to report within few days. |
