Militants attack PDP leader's house | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, May 28: Policemen guarding the house of a senior leader from the ruling Peoples Democratic party came under a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district, an official said here on Monday. The official told that a group of heavily armed militants fired at the house of PDP leader Peer Mansoor Hussain and the guards posted for his security retaliated. Peer from Thajiwor village of the southern district is a former member of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. It was not immediately known if the former lawmaker was inside his house at the time of the attack. The militants retreated after exchanging fire with the police guards briefly, the official added. A man hunt was underway. |
