Aggrieved parents, Dogra Sangathan protest fee charged with impunity by Pvt schools | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: A large number of aggrieved parents of the children studying in private educational institutions staged a massive protest demonstration in front of Press Club against the inaction of education department authorities against the schools who are charging fee even for the summer vacation months with impunity. Amit Kapoor President of Dogra Sangathan said the Education Minister Zulifkar Ali while addressing the Education authorities clearly stated that a circular will be issued soon that no fee will be charged from the students for summer vacation months but no such circular has been issued so far and the private educational institutions continue to charge fee from their students for summer vacation period. The protesters burnt the effigy of education minister for misleading statements in the press and doing nothing practical on ground. Amit Kapoor said that the Dogra Sangathan and the aggrieved parents of children studying in private schools have staged a number of peaceful protest demonstrations in the recent past but the education authorities have not responded positively so far. He has threatened to intensify the struggle further in case the education authorities did nothing to prevent private schools from charging fee at exorbitant rates and even for summer vacation months. |
