BJP leadership dancing to tunes of Kashmir centric leaders? | | | Early Times Report jaMMU, June 1: Despite terrorists and the separatists not showing any inclination towards restoring peace in the Valley, the Bharatiya Janata Party seems to be going out of way to appease the Kashmir centric leaders. Sources told Early Times that a few Kashmir centric politicians have suggested to New Delhi to hold "unconditional talks" with the so-called leadership comprising of Pakistan stooges, Geelani, Mirwaiz and Malik. "On the other hand they are trying to build pressure that unilateral ceasefire should be extended in the Valley," they added. An insider revealed that as the news about Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh would visit the Valley in coming days is making rounds the Kashmir centric politicians are trying to create a notion that Singh would extend the unilateral truce and would also send a formal invitation for talks to the separatists. "A few PDP leaders are working overtime and are making attempts to meet Geelani, Mirwaiz and Malik separately. They have already send feelers to them that if they come forward for talks they would make their lives easy and they (separatists') would be given all the privileges which they used to enjoy before the BJP led NDA government came into power in 2014." A source said, "A notion is being created that top BJP leadership is on the board and whatever is being done has the nod of the top leaders." The PDP, which is sharing power with the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, has reportedly told the BJP high command that if New Delhi doesn't soften its stand against the Pakistan stooges and the terrorists operating in the Valley it would pull out from the government. "The Kashmir centric parties are resorting to sheer black mailing and are making Centre dance to its tunes. This is a dangerous trend and would encourage the Pakistan agents to propagate their victory," the source added. Despite ceasefire being at place terrorists attacked two CRPF vehicles in Pulwama and Anantnag on Friday. They also hurled a grenade at the residence of a PDP leader in Tral area. "Ceasefire has been torn apart by the ultras and they have become more active since the day government has tied the hands of the security forces," said an official. He said that if politicians don't stop interfering and keep on playing politics over the security related issues terrorist would get a free hand and the Pakistan stooges would again start playing dirty games. |
