Jammu, June 1: A man was detained by police for allegedly carrying a weapon at the function of Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Jitendra Singh. Sources said that the detained man was a government employee.
The Minister was addressing a press conference here, in context with completion of four years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. "A Central government employee, namely Gulshan Raina, who was on duty, was detained with his licensed pistol," police here told media. The employee was on duty at the function, addressed by the Union Minister. "During frisking, the weapon was recovered from his possession," they said. He was detained on the spot and was being questioned. |
