| Agriculture Deptt organises Kissan Goshti | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 1: Agriculture department in collaboration with horticulture department Majalta today organised Kisan Goshti at Batti Badigarh panchayat block Majalta in which progessive farmers of the area participated.Speaking on the occasion Ashish Sharma Agriculture Extension Assistant appraised farmers of new techniques of agriculture production giving special emphasis on adequate use of fertilisers as per soil health card.He also educated farmers regarding adoption of integrated nutrient management and integrated pest management and also educated them about benefits of crop insurance and KCC.
Horticulture Development Officer Majalta Dr Amit Saraf also appraised farmers to go for cultivation of fruit crops best suited for this rainfed area by adoption of Hi tech horticulture so that farmer community can be benefited.
He also discussed vaious schemes of horticulture department with the farmers.
Later on soil health cards and mini kits of Moongi was distributed among the farmers by Sh.Ashish Sharma under the directions of AEO Majalta Sh.Darshan Sharma. |
