Jammu, June 8: A cyclist Rajinder Gupta after covering five lakh and forty thousand Km journey on bicycle paid obeisance at Baba Barfani Amamar nath Cave for the consecutive fifteenth year and one hundred seventeenth time at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine within the thirty years span till date and set very rare record as cyclist of Bathinda (Punjab). Giving the details of thirty years cycle journey, 59 years Rajinder Gupta son of Madan Lal Gupta resident of Bhathinda (Punjab) told that it was his mission and target to visit possible religious places of Himachal and J&K on cycle and till date he has visited Naina Devi, Douladhari Temple at Kangra, Mata Chintpurni, Mata Jawalaji, Chamunda Mata, Mani Mahesh, Mani Karan, Baba Amarnath, Vaishno Devi and many more shrines for the last thirty years by covering five lakh forty thousand Km distance on bicycle. He said that he visited Baba Amarnath for 15th time and thus he was the first who went and paid obeisance and now heading for Mata Vaishno Devi for consecutive one hundred seventeenth time visit.
He said during his long bicycle journey he received healthy cooperation from people and administration to make it possible all the way till date and my mission shall remain continued till death or till my health allow me to move on bicycle. |
