Early Times Report Jammu, June 17: Paying glowing tributes to the community stalwart late Hira Lal Chatta on his 4th death anniversary, at a homage function organised by ASKPC, Advocate Ravinder Raina, President All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference, recalled the self-less contribution of ASKPC ex-president to the socio-political cause of the exiled Kashmiri Pandit Community. Groomed by the great community leader late A.N.Vaishnavi ji as General Secretary of the conference Chatta imbibed the values of simplicity and was at the forefront of the community causes. Dr T.K. Bhat, General Secretary of ASKPC while presenting a detailed account of the contribution rendered by late Chatta, emphasized on the immense efforts made by the late leader in establishing ASKPC as the premier & representative organisation of Kashmiri Pandits, especially after the forced exodus of 1990. Addressing a large gathering of community leaders & other representative organisations on the occasion, R.K. Wangnoo Vice President, Veena Gurtoo President Women's Wing, Ravi Ji President Youth Wing of ASKPC, B.L.Handoo & B.K.Wantoo also paid tearful homage to the great leader of the community. Among the community stalwarts who were present on the occasion were R.K.Raina Ex-president ASKPC, B.K.Sanyasi, Bushan Lal JKVM, Ashok Kangan, S.K.Bhat, R.L.Pandita, Prof. Rawal , Kusum Dhar & others who also highlighted the contributions of Late H. L. Chatta towards the welfare of the Kashmiri Society. |
