Early Times Report Katra, June 17: Helicopter services resumed to Vaishno Devi shrine on Sunday after a brief spell of light showers late on Saturday evening brought dispelled some dust that had been hovering in the area in the past few days. Anshul Garg, additional chief executive officer of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Katra, said that chopper services, which had been suspended after a recent dust storm, had been fully restored. Over 1,200 pilgrims use the chopper service each day, instead of trekking 13 km up the mountainous track. Visibility has been poor since the past few days because of a dust storm in the area. |
