| Vaishno wins Dogra Sabha Gorkha Nagar Mohalla polls | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 17: Mohalla Committee of Dogra Sabha Gorkha Nagar in Bahu Fort area today conducted the elections to elect the President of Dogra Sabha Mohalla Committee of Gorkha Nagar. Vaishno Dass Chopra, a well energetic and honest candidate of the area has been declared elected as President of Dogra Sabha Mohalla Committee. In the election total 902 votes were polled out of 1079. Vaishno bagged 257 votes and was declared President. Raj Kumar Gupta bagged 175 votes and Kulvir Singh (Bittu Baba) 164 votes.
He hailed the residents for making his successful and ensured them that he will continue to work hard for the betterment of people of the area.
He deserves mention here that due to the effort and initiatives of Kulvir Singh this election could be conducted after 35 years. |
