JAMMU,June 25: Jammu and Kashmir Bharat Scouts and Guides organized 'One Day Interaction Programme' to have suggestions how to bring more and more improvement in its functioning. As per press statement, Yugal Kishore Sharma Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch Constituency was the Chief Guest, whereas Kiran WatalFounder Member presided over the function. Sohail Kazmi, Advisor, Raj Bharti Advisor, Sakina Bano Advisor and Danish Mishra were the guests of honour on this auspicious occasion. The programme started with lighting of traditional lamp and presentation of Bouquets and scarves to the dignitaries. The Scouters and Guiders and Scouts and Guides came out with their valuable suggestions to make this movement according to the aspirations of Lord Baden Powell, the founder of the movement. The Chief Guest, Sharma was highly impressed by the activities of the movement and blessed the participants in a dignified manner He stressed that loyalty to country is of the highest value for keeping man's views balanced and in a proper perspective. Service for others and self-sacrifice must necessarily include readiness to serve one's country. He assured full co-operation to the movement and wished that Scouting/Guiding being excellent material should spread in all corners of the State speedily. Director School Education, who presided over the function, was also kind enough to say that this World Association is an educational organization, based on spiritual values and open to all Girls and Boys without discrimination and is trying its best to provide character building and man making education through this non-formal system in a most commendable manner. Sohail Kazmi also spoke on this occasion, in his usual, highly affecting and inspiring manner and exhorted on all participants to try to make this world worth living through their dedicated, diligent, venerated and sincere behaviours and honest actions. |
