GCPFJ holds meeting, discusses discrimination issue | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 25: A meeting of General Category Peoples' Forum Jammu (GCPFJ) was held here today under the chairmanship of Raj Kumar Banathia, Chairman of the Forum and discussed in detail the issues of discrimination with general category people on the basis of caste, religion and region and had a threadbare discussion over various issues confronting the General Category people. Banathia alleged that political class of India, has been ignoring General Category (Swarn Castes) in socio-economic and political spheres through caste-based reservation, playing vote-bank and divisive politics for Yash Paul Sharma, President of the Forum alleged that Modi Government has been promoting casteism, communalism, minorities and pseudo secularism while following appeasement politics. Government has distanced itself from projecting the cause of majority community (General Category) and appeasing and pampering some sections of society for political gains. Som Nath Sharma, General Secretary of the Forum, while addressing the meeting said that it is unfortunate that government has ganged up against General Category people to deny its right of equality and justice. Sharma warned that neglect and marginalization of Swarn Castes shall have dangerous vote-bank erosion of parties. |
