Bhardwaj asks people to punish BJP for letting down Jammu region
6/26/2018 12:13:46 AM
Early Times Report

BISHNAH, June 25: Senior Congress leader and member AICC Mohinder Bhardwaj has said that time has come for the people of Jammu region to punish BJP for total let down on all fronts particularly reneging on promise to restore prestige of the area through eradication of regional discrimination. The people have been left high and dry while the BJP in alliance with PDP looted the state for three years with the saffron party's Delhi high command colluding in substantial measure, before enacting a drama of breaking the alliance.
Addressing a Congress delegates, active workers and sympathizers' meeting here today, he asked them to fan all over in their respective areas and make people aware about the treachery of BJP leaders and Ministers. He asked the people to corner BJP leaders and legislators visiting their areas and ask them pointed questions as to who was responsible for the pathetic conditions prevailing in villages and towns and that what has happened to the lofty promises they have been making to the general public for the last over three years.
"Make these people accountable and seek clear answers from them for total apathy of the BJP component of the erstwhile ruling alliance towards Jammu and its people. The BJP cannot shun its responsibility they must convince people with clinching evidence for development work done in the area as they have been claiming," he added.
Bhardwaj wondered that BJP president Amit Shah had the cheek to tell lies while standing in the court of Jammu people at Parade Ground the other day.
Even a naive would not believe his story that the then Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti prevented the BJP Ministers and MLAs from undertaking development of Jammu and Ladakh regions.
The fact of the matter is that the party Ministers were busy filling their coffers, had become arrogant and cared little for their constituencies and Jammu as a whole. The lies and canards being spread by Shah have convinced even his own partymen who have been protesting against the shoddy performance and behaviour of their Ministers," he observed.
