UDHAMPUR, July 3: A clash broke out over some issue between traffic cops and a truck driver here at Battal Ballian area early this morning. One truck driver Surjeet Singh, who was driving truck number JK 21 C 3848 picked an iron rod from his vehicle and hit a traffic cop on his head . Due to sudden attack,the traffic cop sustained serious head injuries and fell down. The other traffic cops on duty there shifted their injured colleague to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment. The injured cop was identified as Sanjay Singh, 38, son of Gopal Singh. Meanwhile, police have registered a case underFIR No. 302 u/s 307, 353 of RPC at Police Station Udhampur and arrested the erring driver. |
