Zoor Ka Jhatka: 2 more leaders to bid farewell to PDP soon
7/3/2018 10:42:10 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 3: With the Ansari family having taken lead to rebel against the Mufti family, which heads the Peoples Democratic Party two more senior PDP leaders are likely to announce their separation from the party in the coming days.
Sources said while one of the PDP leaders has already made up his mind to quit the party, the other one plans to approach her close relative who had left the party during 2016 unrest.
Sources said one of these two PDP leaders, who hails from north Kashmir and was ousted from the council of ministers a few months ago, has already been rubbing shoulders with leaders of other parties including Congress and the Peoples Conference headed by separatist turned mainstream leader Sajjad Gani Lone.
Sources said while this senior leader has already made up his plan to "expose the family politics of the Muftis", he is weighing the prospects of which party he should swear alliance with in future.
Sources said this leader may announce his decision anytime and expose the "Muftis".
The other PDP leader, who is a woman from Srinagar, equally finds her future bleak in the "sinking ship." Sources said the PDP leader looks ahead to hold deliberations with her close relative to guide her on what needs to be done.
The rebellion against the Muftis started with PDP MLA Abid Ansari, who is also uncle of former minister Imran Ansari, taking the party leadership head on, on July 1. He particularly attacked Tasaduq Mufti for being a "cameraman given the highest portfolio" in the party.
The next day, Imran Ansari joined the chorus. Imran equally took dig at the party leadership saying it was being run by a coterie of relatives where outsiders had no say.
Sources said in the wake of sudden developments, Mehbooba Mufti has decided to hold deliberations with her party leadership to prevent any further rebellion. "This rebellion may prove detrimental for our party when some blacksheep have been trying to raise a rebel group that can form government with the BJP," said a senior PDP leader on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said Mehbooba is finalizing a strategy to prevent further "breaches in the party."
Despite repeated attempts the concerned leaders couldn't be contacted for comments.
