Quiz competition organized by GDC Thathri

Thathri, July 3: Government Degree College (GDC) Thatri today organized a quiz competition. Prof Arshad Ayoub, Coordinator of the event, delivered welcome address of the function by addressing and motivating the students to take part in such co-curricular activities as they develop self confidence and shun stage fear.
The quiz competition comprised of total four teams which included three participants in each teams, students from BA Semester I, III and V Semesters took part with great enthusiasm and showed team spirit. There were total three rounds namely Round 1 (MCQs) which was conducted by Prof. Anoj Kumar, Round 2 (Rapid Fire) conducted by Prof. Majid Gani, Round 3(Audio-Visual) conducted by Prof. Arshad Ayoub while Prof Surinder Kumar was scorer of the event. All the teams performed very well and winner was decided by tie breaker round between Team D and Team A which lasted for 5 questions and finally Team D (Shahid Saleem,Poonam and Rahul) emerged as winner of the competition by securing first position followed by Team A than Team B and Team C. Speaking on the occasion incharge of the college Prof. Shamboo Nath laid emphasis on the importance of the quiz competition and stressed that how this event will bring courage, strength and build self confidence among the students, who are budding flowers of the nation. He assured the students, both participants and audience that they would definitely learn lot from this competition. After the address Medals & Certificates were distributed among the participants. Vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Arun Kumar and the proceedings of the function was conducted by Ms Girja Devi Student of BA Sem V. The function was organized under the overall supervision of Principal Dr. Shafkat Hussain Rafeqi.
