MG-NREGA employees Protest seek Job Policy | | | Early Times Report Udhampur, July 13: Large number of employees of Rural Development Department (RDD) engaged under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MG-NREGA) Scheme of Government continue their Protest in Front of Block Development office (BDO) udhampur over their demand of regularisation . Sanjay Atri Protestor while Taking said that we working on contractual basis for the last around 10 years since the launch of the flagship scheme in 2007-08 in the state. Thousands of highly qualified youth in J&K had been engaged under the MG-NREGA scheme by the Rural Development Deptts as programme officers, Technical Assistants, GRS, MIS operators, Accounts Assistants, social auditors and Adm Assistants on consolidated basis since the launch of the scheme without revising their salaries or framing any policy with respect to their regularization. He added that we are working on negligible honorarium despite repeated assurances. He added that Government is not serious to secure the future of employees. He appeal to the Governor of J&K N.N Vohra that he should Personally intervene the matter and frame job Policy for them. |
