Kishtwar, July 13: In a major embrassment for the 28 year old groom who along with band, bajja and barat had to return empty handed after the bride refused to accompany him at the last moment.
As per the details available with "Early Times", 28 year old Javed Hussain son of Ghulam Hussain Resident of Muller Chatroo had his marriage fixed with a girl from Chirol village of the Nagsini Tehsil in Kishtwar few months ago and accordingly a marriage date was fixed and the elderd of the village at behest of the family members of the girl had sent written massage commonly known as "Lagancher" to groom's family asking them to come to their home for solemnizing the marriage (Nikka) on the mentioned date.
As and when the groom reached the house of the bride, no one was available to welcome him which raised suspicion among those accompanying the Barat. They were told to return.
The groom finally approached the local police post demanding action against the bride and her family for maligning their image.
The groom's family in a social media massage later narrated the whole incident and also displayed the copy of the "Lagancher" seeking answer from the bride family.
They stated that they have spent huge amount on arranging marriage and serving meal (Willima) to the guests at home and wanted to know the reason for returning the Barat adding if that the girl was not happy with this marriage proposal, they must have refused it earlier. The locals inform the "Early Times" that the two daughters of the accused person were going to get married and among the two, the other bride accompanied her groom while another groom returned empty handed.
Before leaving the house of the bride, the family members told the villagers that they will knock the doors of the court for seeking justice.
