President should act under mandate of Art.370, dismiss J&K Assembly: Prof Bhim Singh
7/13/2018 11:12:17 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, July 13: Prof.Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party, Executive Chairman of State Legal Aid Committee & Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India has urged the President of India to declare emergency in J&K by invoking Article 370 of the Indian Constitution, ask State Governor to dismiss State Assembly and take all necessary measures for the maintenance of peace in J&K.
Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President of India that there is no occasion to wait for the destruction of the infrastructure and allow undesirable elements to threat the national security. Prof.Bhim Singh said that the function which is allotted to the police force should be performed by the police itself. The security forces and other agencies responsible for the security of the state should be allowed to perform their own duties. Let J&K police perform its duty for maintaining law and order in the State.
NPP Supremo expressed doubt on the sincerity of the ex-ruling political parties may it be National Conference, the Congress, the BJP or PDP itself. He said that all political parties who ruled and robbed the state for nearly 70 years at different times are responsible for the present State of Affairs. He said that President of India is the only competent authority in India within the meaning and scope of the Constitution of India to intervene. He should, NPP Supremo demanded, intervene as the President is only authority who can intervene within the meaning and scope of Article 370. He is empowered to go for emergency for a short period so that the self centered, corrupt, communal, undesirable leadership is kept under the appropriate discipline to ensure that people of J&K live in peace, security and without any fear or threat to their security.
