Doda Media XI win exhibition match against Jammu media-XI

Doda, July 14: In the exhibition cum friendly cricket match played in memory of Late Mehboob Hassan Kraipak, Manager Young Star Cricket Club Doda, Media XI Doda thrashed Media Eleven Jammu by 43 runs in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2018 being played at Sports Stadium Doda here today.
The exhibition match was organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda.
The Media team from Jammu was led by Captain Mir Imran, while Media Team from Doda was led by Captain Syed Riaz Ahmed.
Earlier, Media XI Doda after winning the toss elected to bat first. Batting first, Media XI Doda set a huge target of 199 runs for the loss of 1 wicket in the allotted 16 over game. Zeeshan Rather was the top scorer with 134 runs, while Tayib Tramboo and Danish Ganai scored 27 and 17 runs respectively for the team. From Media Eleven Jammu, Yash Khajuria picked 1 wicket.
In reply, Media Eleven Jammu managed to score only 155 runs in 16 over for the loss of 6 wickets, thus lost the match by 43 runs. Sunil Sambyal was the highest scorer from Media Eleven Jammu who made 60 runs while Sunil Bali and Sahil Sharma contributed 34 and 32 runs respectively. From Media XI Doda, Firdous Khanday took wickets while Danish Ganai, Zuhaib Rangrez, Syed Shezan and Asgar Butt shared 01 wicket each.
Principal GDC Doda Dr Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi was the Chief Guest, while Prof Javed Iqbal Tramboo, Prof Akhtar Hussain, President Chenab Valley Doctors Association Dr Hamid Parray, Dr Sajjad Hussain Kraipak and Dr Basharat Hussain Kraipak were the special guests on the occasion who distributed prizes among both the teams.
The match was officiated by Munish Zutshi and Yousuf Raza as umpires, while Sandeep Kaushik acted as the scorer and Ashok Sharma (Video Analyst) as third umpire.
