SNM Akhnoor donates 63 Units of blood

Jammu, July 15: Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan, Akhnoor. The camp was inaugurated by Sanjeev Verma, IAS, Divisional Commissioner Jammu. While speaking on the occasion he said that blood donation is a need of time and applauded the efforts of Sant Nirankari Mission and congratulated all the volunteer donors. He said that with blood donation Mission is spreading Love in the society. Other dignitaries presented in the camp were Dr Kajal from Blood Bank GMC Jammu, Dinesh Gupta Honorory Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu, Chuni Lal Sanchalak and several prominent Senior citizens of the town. Rev Ajit Singh Zonal incharge, Sant Nirankari Mandal said that even though basically the Mission is a spiritual movement, it has been making a significant contribution towards social welfare activities also. He said that while launching the series in 1986, His Holiness Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj said that 'Blood should flow in veins and not in drains.' Sansar Chand, Sanyojak, Sant Nirankari Mandal branch Akhnoor, welcomed the chief guest, prominent citizens, Hospital Authorities, volunteers of the Mission. The camp was held in collaboration with Blood & Transfusion Deptt. of Govt. Medical college, Jammu, Indian Red Cross Society & JKSACS.
