Musical Play "Hepatitis Mukt Bharat" staged

Jammu, July 28: To celebrate the World Hepatitis Day 2018 & to promote the Traditional folk culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan performed it's 219th Saturday series dogri musical play "Hepatitis Mukt Bharat" today in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan, Disco More Janipur Jammu on the theme of "Eliminate Hepatitis".
The Program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr.Tara Singh Charak, former deputy director, health department J&K. Among the Guest of Honors were, R.P.Amla, Event Director BLSKS, J K Raina, Freelancer, Producer Director TV, Dr. A.C.Bhagat, former chief officer department of animal husbandry, J&K Government, Dr. Anju Dogra, Health Department, J&K Government.
The Musical play was written produced and directed by M L Dogra, Former Regional Director , Song and Drama Division Ministry of Information and Broadcasting , Government of India.The program was commenced with songs , " Aao Liver Roge Cha Jind Bachache" , "aede ane kola phele tike jayi layuche" , "laga gran setu da mela ", "Jaan Jaan Mada Hepatitis Jaan" , " Ghatak iss Roge kola ,bachalo apne Pran" songs and dances were presented to aware the masses and the music was composed by M C Kotwal, Gen Secretary BLSKS and Raju Bajgal, Music Instructor BLSKS and the song sung by the artists of BLSKS and students of the institute.
The Chief Guest said world hepatitis day takes place every year on 28 July, with the aim of bringing the world together under one single theme in order to raise awareness of viral hepatitis and the impact it has worldwide and also lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective.
Earlier welcome address of M L Dogra, Chairman, BLSKS through light on the Hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus are the leading cause of liver cancer in the world, yet more than 80% of those affected with viral hepatitis are unaware of their status.
