Early Times Report Jammu, July 28: Air Force School Jammu today celebrated Vanmahotsava at Air Force Station, Jammu. The plantation drive was organized with the support of International Volunteer Foundation, Jammu. On the occasion, The Green Warriors (Group of Air Force School Students) planted 30 saplings of useful trees in the school premises. Shuchi Gupta, Principal, Air Force School, Jammu planted the first sapling alongwith the special guests. On the occasion, Shuchi Gupta said that Vanmahotsava is the most important festival which is celebrated countrywide by the people of India from all walk of life and it is our responsibility not only to teach students about the importance of planting trees but also to involve them in the plantation drives and to look after the saplings till it grows fully. She congratulated the teachers incharge, Green Warriors, Neelam Shastri, Jaspreet Kour and students for successfully organizing and actively participating in the plantation drive. The saplings of Tikoma, Nerium, Guava, China Rose, Jasmine and Chandni trees were planted. Those present on the occasion were Raman Arora, Headmaster, Air Force School, Jammu, Darshana Sharma, Libraian, Kiran Kumar Sharma, Teacher and Arun Jamwal from International Volunteer Foundation. |
