Early Times Report JAMMU, July 28: Two Jammu artists Amarjeet Singh and Jasleen Singh have been awarded with Junior Fellowship in the fields of Photography and Sculpture respectively by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India for 2017- 18. The fellowship is granted to the artists for their excellent performance in their concerned fields of activity. Amarjeet Singh is Post Graduate in Applied Art from College of Art, Chandigarh. He has done Graduation in that field from Institute of Music & Fine Arts under University of Jammu and proceeding Ph. D. from Kurukshetra University. Presently he is working as Assistant Professor at IMFA, University of Jammu. He has participated in many National level art exhibitions and art camps. He has also been a Lecturer (Fine Arts) in Ranjit College of Education, Kunjwani, Jammu and has been the jury member in Display your Talent (University of Jammu) in Fine Arts, 2015 & 2016 and an examiner in Fine Arts Department, IMFA, University of Jammu. Jasleen Singh has done Graduation Post Graduation in Baxhelors Degree in Visual Arts and Masters Degree in Sculpture from M S University, Baroda. He has been working as Assistant Professor at Kurukshetra University and is recipient of National Cultural Scholarship holder. The Scholarship is given by Ministry of Culture. He has also been awarded North zone gold award for best installation by Prafulla Dahanukar Art foundation, Mumbai 2017, Artist award by Prafulla Dahanukar Art Foundation, Mumbai, 2016, Emerging artist of Baroda award by Sarjan Art Gallery, Baroda, India (2012), State Award by Gujarat Lalit Kala Academy, 2012, National Cultural Scholarship by Ministry of HRD, New Delhi, India 2011 to 2013, Merit Scholarship by M S University, 2007 to 2011. |
