| Bootlegger held, 50 pouches of illicit liquor seized | | |

MENDHAR, Sept 14: Mendhar Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 50 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused was apprehended during raids a shop Near Post office Mendhar under the jurisdiction of Mendhar Police Station. During raids a shop, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from the accused.
The two accused have been identified as Irfan Ahmed son of Mohd Arif , a resident of Chajjla and Shahzad Ahmed son of Mohd Aziz Resident of Ari Mendhar while Irfan is arrested and Shahzad Ahmed was absconding the spot. A case under FIR Number 48/18 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused. |
