Kathua, Sept 14: Twenty-three months on, the much hyped solar system installed in district hospital Kathua has not been made functional yet.
On 7th of October 2016 a grand function was organized and the system was inaugurated but it is non functional till date.
It is pertinent to mention here that to save electricity and promote solar power projects the Government had installed solar power system in the district hospital which have become defunct now for the past 23 months.
The solar system installed at district hospital at the cost of Rs. 1.21 crore to give uninterrupted power supply to hospital is not working.
When Early Times contacted, MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia who inaugurated the solar system didn't respond despite calls of Early Times to ascertain the reasons behind non functional of Solar system from 23 months. |
