| 3 drivers booked for over-loading | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Sept 14: Rajouri police has booked three drivers for overloading passengers and endangering their lives.
Police spokesman said that two police teams headed by SDPO Thanamandi Iftikar Chowdhary and SHO Thanamandi Nazir Ahmad Dar were on routine patrolling on Rajouri - Thanamandi road when three different vehicles were intercepted on three separate places on the said road", said spokesman.
He further said that these vehicles include Minibus bearing registration number JK11-4223, Minibus bearing registration number JK02H-5197 and Tempo Traveller bearing registration number JK12-2646 and all these vehicles use to ply on Rajouri - Thanamandi road.
These vehicles were found heavily overloaded with passengers and drivers were booked.
Three separate FIRs 161, 162, 163/ 2018 under section 279 and 336 of RPC have been registered for the offences committed by the drivers.
Besides, more than three thirty five vehicles have also been challaned in last two days on Thanamandi road. |
