| Drug peddler arrested , 500 gms Poppy straw recovered | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Sept 14: In its continuous drive to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, District Police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma JKPS, SSP Samba arrested one drug peddler and recovered 500 gms Poppy Straw.
Police Party of PS Samba headed by Inspr. Chanchal Singh, SHO Samba under the close supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy. SP Hqrs Samba during surprise naka checking in Nud area, Samba intercepted one person on suspicious ground. During frisking of said person 500 Gms Poppy Straw was recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Romesh Chander S/o Chajju Ram R/o Samlah, Samba.
The said drug peddler was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 243/2018 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Samba and investigation started. |
