JAMMU, Sept 14: All J&K Scheduled Castes Welfare Association, Jammu organised an awareness camp in village Batta Kataal (Nagrota) Dist-Jammu Rural for the welfare of downtrodden and BPL people of that area, under the chairmanship of Rup Lal Bharti, (Retd) with coordination of Krishan Gopal, Dist President Jammu Rural.
There was a huge gathering of local public including ladies, kids and men of SC/ST,OBC and BPL of other category people as well. Dyna-mic talks were delivered on achieving of quality Education, Unity, Financial Literacy, women Empowerment, Health Awareness Social Evils and Bhai Chaara.
Jasbir Singh, representative of social welfare department of J&K Government explained the government social benefit schemes for the welfare of SC,ST OBC and other poor community people. Vice president Om Raj Bhall, General Secretary Col Som Nath Dogra (Retd), Jt Secretary Principal Jagdish Bhagat(Retd) , Sub Girdhari Lal(Retd),Block president Dhansal also delivered useful talks for the awareness of present public in the camp.
The prominent people from the local area Som Nath {Ex Naib Surpanch), Master Ashok Kumar, Bihar Lal,(Lambad Daar), Dr Khem Chand (Retd), Mangat Ram (ex PHE Emp) also spoke on the occasion. |
