Farmers' Training Camp organized

Rajouri: Sept 14: Farmers Training Centre, Jammu organized one day Farmers Awareness Camp at village Lamberi of Sub-Division Nowshera District Rajouri in which 50 number farmers of the area participated today.
The camp has been conducted under the directions and guidance of Director Agriculture Jammu H. K. Razdan and Deputy Director of Agriculture (Trainings) Jammu, Sunil Kumar Koul.
Speaking on the occasion Training Officer FTC Sarmesh Kumar and Farm Management Specialist Deepak Kumar advised the farmers to avail the benefits of various farmer's welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) Kisan Credit Cards Scheme (KCCS), Soil Health Card Scheme (SHCS), Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Sub Mission on Agriculture Machinery (SMAM) and various other State Sector Schemes to shift from production centric to market led farming. They advised the farmers to adopt the Improved Agricultural Practices and Technological Interventions especially through value additions and diversification to raise their income.
Raveti Nandan AEO FTC and J. C. Raina AEO Siot speaking on the occasion elaborated on various ongoing Centrally Sponsored and State Sector Farmers Welfare Schemes and Programmes.
They stressed on shifting to Integrated Farming System through adoption of Vermi-composting, establishment of Green House Structures and organic farming.
The others who spoke in the camps include Mohinder Paul AEA, Baljeet Kuma, AEA besides others. Small Hand Tools, refreshment and literature on various schemes and programmes for the awareness of the farmers was also distributed on the occasion.
