Jammu, Sep 14: A Disaster Management Workshop for Warden on their role before, during and after disaster was held in the Conference Hall of Regional Civil Defence Control Centre Parade Jammu under the guidance of Muneer Ahmad Khan, IPS Additional Director General of Police Homeguard/Civil Defence & SDRF J&K and close supervision of Anita Pawar, Dy. SP, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu.
Vikas Gupta, SSP, Incharge DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion and Rashmi Wazir, SSP, of University of Jammu, Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn Jammu was the Guest of Honour. In welcome address Anita Pawar, Dy. SP, Dy. Controller Civil Jammu said that the objective of the conference was to provide a useful platform to exchange information, ideas, experience and lessons learned in Disaster Management work, role of wardens before, during and after disaster which effects the civilian population and property. In the conference Sr. Wardens of Civil Defence Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Akhnoor, Sunderbani & Nowshera were present and discussed all the aspects of Civil Defence organization especially to combat the threat of any eventuality. This Conference was a historic occasion in the history of Civil Defence Jammu in which experts of various field like Dr. S. K. Pandita, Professor of Geology from University of Jammu, Dr. Naveen Hakhoo, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology from University of Jammu.
