UDHAMPUR, Sept 23: The mast light at busy Gole Market here is non-functional for the last two months but the electrical wing of municipality responsible for its maintenance and care take are in deep slumber.
Non-functional mast light causes complete darkness at the busy Gole Market area which is very much prone to crimes like eve teasing, theft and snatching.
Sham Lal, local told this reporter that he is very much worried as his children have to go for tuition early in the morning via this route .
Moreover, due to constant rains there are many water logging spots and one may fall and get hurt due to darkness at Gole Market area at night and in the morning , he added
The locals have appealed to the municipal authorities to get the mast light repaired immediately so that the public may heave a sigh of relief. |
